At the end of this morning shoot I had the pleasure of meeting these little guys. At first just one, and then 5 of them (although only 4 on the picture, one escaped the camera). They were brilliant and just keep feeding a couple of meters away from me, unphased. So all that was left for me, was, back home and to my bird book to see if I can recognise what I saw. And I did. Meet the Purple Sandpiper, a friendly bird. With only a 24-70mm lens I was very restricted and had to crop the pictures but I think it workes.
